I have over 15 years experience as a private nanny. My first job was working at a daycare center with toddlers. I became a private nanny after I was hired by one of the families who went to the daycare center. I’ve worked with newborns, infants and toddlers mostly.
I have 3 daughters of my own, and was a stay at home mom for over 10 years. I practice the secure—attachment style of parenting and breastfed all three. They’re well adjusted, happy and healthy. It has been well worth the time and effort it takes to raise secure children, and teach them healthy habits.
I have experience as a nighttime/daytime nanny and also with multiples. I’m experienced in proper breast and bottle feeding, sleep training, and swaddling. I observe patterns with newborns and work with families specific needs to create a customized routine for all.
I love honoring new parents’ struggles and sharing my own as inspiration that we overcome all phases of parenting. When you’re feeling challenged as a new parent, I remind you that our children are ever changing, as is life. Children are a wonderful blessing and bring so much love and joy into our lives. New life is the most precious thing on Earth.
Sleep training is something that I feel passionate about, and am considering becoming a certified, pediatric sleep consultant. Adequate sleep is vital to proper development and good health.
Childcare is the only career I’ve had. I have tried a few other jobs but always return to being a caregiver, as it’s where my heart feels most fulfilled and my spirit feels most alive.
I truly love children, in particular, babies!
I generally work with families as a night nanny and postpartum doula for the first 6-12 months, about 3-4 nights per week, but have stayed for longer or shorter periods of time to assist.
